1 Introduction 2 VME64x in CMS 3 VMEBridges

VME64x in CMS CMS has decided to use VME64x modules. Of the VME64x specification those features should be implemented which allow to perform a plug and play configuration of VME crates. For the configuration procedure software is provided by the CMS DAQ group. It is contained in the Hardware Access Library (HAL).
