An important purpose of this
trigger meeting will be to develop a
project plan for the Trigger
system. We need a detailed schedule and
milestones through the trigger
commissioning and operation. We will
need to tie the trigger preparations
to the need for Trigger and DAQ
operation for commissioning
of the CMS detector subsytems. We will
also need to establish the plans
for integration tests between trigger
components themselves and with
detector interfaces. Each trigger
subsystem is asked to communicate
with the other subsystems they must
integrate with in order to produce
their plan. Plans should include
production of interface documents,
dates for delivery of modules that
are to be interfaced, dates
of tests between modules, and plans for
commissioning (how long and
what will be required).
As a start, please check the
milestones presented to the LHCC:
http://cmsdoc.cern.ch/~wsmith/trigmile.html.
Please see if your
milestones and activities are
consistent with these.
We would also like to ask for
information from the trigger subsystems
concerning the status and plans
of their software: diagnostics,
downloading and configuration,
simulation, etc. We need to develop an
overall plan for the trigger
software.
Speakers are reminded to provide
a URL pointing to the pdf file of their
talk. We intend to project electronic
files using laptops, so bring
yours or send me your URL in
advance.
