2.2 Check an installation

The release has been validated on a CERN Linux SLC 3.0.4 machine with some additional packages installed as explained in the section Install a system. CERN Linux SLC 3.0.4 is based on Redhat Linux with some modifications which are important for this DAQKit release. If you want to verify if an installed system contains everything in order to run the software of the DAQKit the following sections help to do so. HOWEVER, you should expect some problems if you do not have exactly the installation described in the section Install a system.

If you realize that you are missing one or the other package in your installation, you can jump directly to the installation section of the previous chapter.

If you have installed a system according to the instructions of the previous section you can skip this section.
